$163,476 Jackpot Won on 'Golden 8' Slot Machine at Slotland

Interval between jackpots a little longer than usual, but well worth waiting for

Slotland - slot machines and video poker, progressive jackpot winnerAfter tantalizing players for several weeks, the progressive jackpot at Slotland.com has been hit again for $163,476. A player known as "YUKON", who has only been playing at Slotland a little over a year, won the jackpot playing one of the popular casino's oldest and most popular slot machines, the Golden 8. Normally won every six to eight weeks, the last six-figure win was in early February. For several weeks many players at the all slots and video poker site had been expecting it to be won any minute.

Although the progressive jackpot is usually won by the time it reaches $150,000, the winner didn’t mind waiting just a little longer to receive significantly more.

"Of course you always hope you’re going to win a big one someday. After all, that’s why we play!" said the winner. "But I honestly never really expected something like this to happen to me! Even when I saw it on my screen I could hardly believe it! It wasn’t until the Customer Service Rep at Slotland contacted me that it really started to sink in."

YUKON plans to pay off some debts with his winnings and to go someplace sunny and warm for a holiday.

Last year Slotland paid out nearly $800,000 in progressive jackpot wins. This is the second major jackpot win on the Golden 8 slot. Treasure Box has produced three big jackpot winners in the last couple of years, and two players have struck it rich playing the Jacks or Better video poker slot game.

"I don’t waste my money trying to win million dollar jackpots at other sites," said one Slotland player. "The reason some of those are so big is that they are rarely, if ever, actually won. But Slotland has a big winner every few weeks, it seems, so I feel like I actually have a chance to win here. "

Slotland.com currently features 15 one-of-a-kind slot machines and video poker games. Four of the most popular games are also available on mobile phones and PDAs. All of Slotland’s slot machines give players the option of placing a maximum bet for a chance at the progressive jackpot. They’re all instant play casino games with nothing to download or install. Some are now available in Flash format and fully compatible with iPhones.

The jackpot at Slotland is currently over $58,000. Meanwhile at Slotland’s sister casino, WinADay.com, the jackpot was last won at the end of March for a record-breaking $224,420 and is currently over $180,000.

Diceland Online Casino Re-born with Its Own Alice in Diceland

The emphasis is on fun in the light-hearted new online casino

diceland-160-1.jpgThe jaberwockiest online casino this side of the looking glass, DicelandOnline.com, is re-born with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme. Diceland Online looks and feels like no other, and is designed to appeal to a growing niche market of new-generation players looking for a little more wow and a lot more fun.

Following the opening of Alice in Wonderland, Tim Burton’s jaw-dropping vision of the Lewis Carroll classic in movie theatres across the world, DicelandOnline.com is launching with favorite casino games including Blackjack, Roulette, Keno, Video Slots, Classic Slots, Video Poker and more. Hosted by its own animated Alice, the casino offers exciting progressive jackpots, a slew of special promotions and bonuses, and table limits for every bankroll.

Despite the cartoon Cheshire Cats and Mad Hatters, DicelandOnline.com is a full-service online casino with special incentives like the $9999 Welcome Bonus to appeal to high rolling hatters and hares. It provides a 100% bonus up to $1000 on each of the first ten deposits. There will be specialty bonuses where players will compete for vacations, vehicles, electronics and more. For deposits made using Neteller or Moneybookers there is a special 250% match bonus up to $2000.

The colorful Wonderland graphics throughout the site are just part of a total re-creation of the DicelandOnline.com brand.

“We acknowledge the payment problems some of our players and affiliates experienced last fall,” said Josh Cartu, CEO of RomeCasino.com which operates the new DicelandOnline. “Rest-assured, we wouldn’t be re-launching this brand using the same Topgame software if we weren’t 110% satisfied that the issues they had last year are resolved. We’ve been back to quick processing and hassle-free withdrawals for months now.”

On its decision to welcome Rome Partners (the affiliate program for DicelandOnline and RomeCasino) back as Silver Sponsors, Steven Corfman of the GPWA said, “As far as I've seen they're very interested in operating responsibly and I'm not aware of specific issues that are open from the problems they had last year. And from a conversation I had with their CEO they seem to be taking an affiliate-friendly route with respect to treatment of funds confiscated by payment processors (as opposed to some other sites recently that are viewing those problems the same way as a chargeback).”

“We’ve really grown and learned since we originally launched this brand, and all our latest thinking as well as feedback from players and affiliates has gone into creating this one-of-a-kind online casino,” said Jodi Nafte, Affiliate Manager. “We made it through our growing pains and are ready to shake up the online casino world with this bold new concept.”

DTD Switches from Cryptologic to GTECH G2 Poker, Casino and Payments System

Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club is switching the Casino and Poker software at its Online Casino and Poker Room from Cryptologic to GTECH G2. In a new three-year partnership, GTECH G2 will also supply the Casino and Poker site with its Webdollar Cashier payment system.

This means DTD players won’t have to transfer funds from their Poker account to their Casino account when they want to switch from Poker to Casino games – players can simply use the same wallet for both Casino and Poker.

“The new deal with GTECH G2 marks the end of a successful 3½ year affiliation with CryptoLogic, which started before the DTD Poker Club venue opened in Nottingham. CryptoLogic have changed their business model to focus on Casino, and with DTD Online continuing to be primarily a Poker business, a natural and mutual end to the partnership has transpired,” said Nick Whiten of DTD.”

GTECH G2’s International Poker Network (IPN) has been growing and its software and network were recently upgraded to give players more choices at the table and more convenience at the cashier.  With more than 3,000,000 active players, the IPN is now Europe’s largest independent poker network.

GTECH G2 is renowned for the attention to detail in its realistic Casino games. With its open architecture, licensees can easily add new Casino games and Instant Games from GTECH G2 or other Casino game suppliers.

Victory Poker Invites Players to Live the Poker Pro Lifestyle with Over $100K Contest Prize

To the winner go the spoils: cash, car, clothes, and a condo on the Las Vegas Strip

Victory Poker is offering more than $100K in prizes in a video contest created to find the next member of its Team Victory.  Wannabe poker playboys are invited to submit a video clip explaining why they should be the next Team member. The stakes are high with a sports car, designer wardrobe, a condo on the Strip in Vegas and $100,000 in tournament entries going to the player chosen by Antonio Esfandiari and his team that includes 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood.  Poker players that think they’ve got what it takes can find further information and submit their entry at www.victorypoker.net where anyone can view the clips submitted to date.

Since its launch on February 1st, VictoryPoker.com has added several new personalities to its impressive ensemble. In January, former Who's Your Daddy CEO Dan Fleyshman spearheaded the online project and secured a license with the Everleaf Poker Network. He then recruited a healthy mix of tournament veterans, online name makers, and young cash game specialists to represent the site. The first string included team quarterback Antonio Esfandiari, along with frontmen Andrew "Good2CU" Robl, Keith "The Machine" Gipson, PLO specialist Brian Rast, the controversial Dan "Blitz" Bilzerian, and longtime tournament slayers Paul Wasicka and Lee Markholt. Soon after, 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year Sara Underwood -- currently in training -- lent her penchant for poker and obvious aesthetics to the field.

By February, Danny "Chinese Poker Wizard" Wong, backgammon champion Sander Lylloff, heads-up specialist Alec Torelli, and virtual training coach "The Maven" David Chicotsky had officially joined Team Victory. Last week, Steven Weusten, James Obst, and Adam Hourani, representing Europe, the US, and Australia respectively, became Team Victory sponsored pros. Retired FBI agent Joe Navarro and Mind Set Coach Sam Chauhan were signed as consultants.
Jonathan Little is the latest poker superstar to join ranks. With more than $4 million in tournament winnings, the World Poker Tour Player of the Year also hosts a training website. Little brings the number of Team Victory members to nineteen. Together they boast 53 titles, 445 cashes, and $28,722,911 in earnings.
Biographies of all Team Victory pros, players, and consultants are posted at http://www.victorypoker.net/

Victory Poker is the biggest brand to join the Everleaf Network whose traffic has steadily increased since VictoryPoker.com's inception. At the rate it’s growing it will be one of the top ten US friendly poker networks by the end of the year.

UK Gambling Review Has More to do with Taxes than Protecting Players

Software provider favours regulated markets where jurisdictions license operators serving their residents

GTECH G2’s second Thought Leadership Seminar brought industry leaders and legal experts together this week to discuss the ramifications of proposed changes to UK gambling policies resulting from the current Remote Gaming Review.  The CEOs, legal advisors and other igaming executives that attended left better prepared to voice their concerns during the government’s Consultation process.
The expert panel, with moderator Peter Wilson, Partner, Memery Crystal, features Simon Burridge, CEO, Virgin Games; Paul Bolt, Director of Sport and Leisure at the DCMS (the key civil servant responsible for gambling); and Nick Hawkins, Legal Director & Company Secretary, Danoptra; and James Hollins, Gambling Equity Analyst, Daniel Stewart.

“It was a well informed and open debate about the Consultation proposals,” said moderator Peter Wilson. “Despite what quickly appeared at the start as diametrically opposed camps of Simon Burridge, Nick Hawkins and James Hollis from the industry on the one part, and Paul Bolt representing the Government on the other, some common ground emerged.

First, there is not any specific consumer protection problem with the current licensing system that needs fixing.

Secondly, the proposals were the product of the DCMS feeling it needs to be “seen to be doing something” in the face of an ongoing erosion of an already comparatively small number of operators holding British remote licences.  They are certainly not industry driven reforms.

Thirdly, an intention to require overseas operators in the EEA, white list territories or Gibraltar to apply for British licences that is intended to be enforced by a law without extra jurisdictional effect would largely be relying on operators’ goodwill to apply for the necessary licences. The US experience was cited as a clear example that not all operators will fall into line. Finally, all were in agreement that, as always, tax will be the most important element.  With Paul Bolt unable to advise us of the Treasury’s plans (which frankly even the Treasury probably couldn’t throw much light on as yet), there was, as Nick Hawkins put it, an elephant not just in the room but filling it.

No one had sufficient crystal ball reading skills to foresee whether the proposals would survive the election of a new government but there is no doubt from the main 3 parties’ manifestos that remote gambling is neither high on the political agenda nor held in high regard.  Paul was refreshingly spin free as a government representative and remained unflappable in the face of wide ranging criticism of the proposals, articulated well by Simon.

With Nick providing political context with his insider’s view as a former Shadow Minister on gambling, and James with his finger on the pulse of the big operators, those that attended were fully equipped with arguments to make their feelings known in the ongoing Consultation. Views must be in by 18 June 2010.  If there is a large enough critical response these ill thought out proposals may never see the light of day.”

Video highlights, photos and additional information are available at www.iGamingDebate.com.

GTECH G2 hosted, but did not take part in the debate directly. GTECH G2 supports regulated markets where jurisdictions license operators serving the residents of that country.

GTECH G2’s Thought Leadership Seminar series is part of the casino, poker, bingo and sportsbetting software company’s commitment to furthering dialogue and understanding of issues and industry developments that are critical to its business partners’ success.

WinADay's New 'Slot 21' Combines Slot Machines and Blackjack

Progressive jackpot tied to all slots games now over $170,000

The new Slot 21 game at WinADay.com online casino is a combination of two casino favourites, slot machines and blackjack. First and foremost, it’s a kitschy, retro, arcade-style slot machine reminiscent of the old strip in Las Vegas. But it also has two bonus card games built into it.

When the Red & Black scatter symbol appears on the right most reel, players have the option of playing the Red & Black Bonus Game where they can double the winnings of their last spin.

A second bonus game within this new slot machine is inspired by Blackjack. By collecting Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces on the slot machine reels players earn “21 Cash” which can then be used to play a hand of blackjack. When players draw cards that come closer to 21 than the bank’s hand, without going over, their wager is doubled.

Five “crown” symbols wins the progressive jackpot which is currently over $170,000. The jackpot, which is tied to all of the slots games at WinADay.com, was last hit in March for $223K. Since it’s hit, on average, every six or eight weeks, many regular players at WinADay sense it is due for another big win any day now.

Deuces Wild video poker is WinADay’s Game of the Month for May.  Everyone that plays it is automatically entered in a draw for $500 in prize money.  At the end of the year, all Game of the Month tickets will be entered in one draw for a Dell Studio 15 laptop.

Last month WinADay launched a variation of another classic casino game.  The new Roulette 5 is American roulette that’s as easy to play as a slot machine.  With 5 wheels, this unique version of the classic casino game gives five chances to win on one spin and five times the thrills of regular roulette. Players choose the number of wheels to spin just as they’d select how many pay lines to wager on in a slot machine.

WinADay.com now has 14 whimsical games: nine unique slot machines, four video poker games and  one roulette game. They’re all instant play, no download games that are available only at WinADay.com.
