Online Satellite Tournaments Sending Winner to CPT Punta Cana with $4000 Prize Package

The two hottest poker rooms on the Revolution Poker Network have just started a new online satellite tournament series where you can win your way to the Caribbean.  Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes Poker are co-hosting CPT Punta Cana online satellite tournaments that will award the winner with a $4000 prize package to play in the CPT Punta Cana Main Event this November.

The $4000 prize package includes $900 Buy-in to the CPT Punta Cana Main Event (November 6th – 8th, 2015), 6 nights at the five-star Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana, meals and beverages, travel expenses and $1500 in Resort Credits.

Joining winners of satellite series held earlier this summer, the winner will take a seat with a mixture of amateurs and pros at the CPT Punta Cana Main Event where American poker pro Ari Engel won $177,045 last year.

Step 1 tournaments are held six time a day until July 29th.  The Final will be August 9th.

Another series of online satellite tournaments just ended.  Mika P. aka “VibeKing” won the Final and a $3100 (€2750) prize package sending him to the Estrellas Main Event in Barcelona next month. Like other online tournament winners, he’ll share his stories and photos from that event on the Living the Dream poker blog.

Moldovan University Student Wins €7,000 PokerTracker EPT San Remo Main Event Sweepstakes

A university student from Moldavia is on his way to the coast of Italy for the EPT Sanremo Main Event.  Oleg Lichii, 21, was randomly chosen in a sweepstake offered by online tracking and analysis software provider PokerTracker.

Lichii's Main Event package is worth €4,600 (plus €300 entry fee) and PokerTracker has also given him €2,000 for travel, accommodation and spending money during his stay in the chic Italian city Sanremo on the Mediterranean coast. The star-studded Sanremo Main Event – the seventh leg of EPT Season 10 – runs from April 14-20.

Lichii, who says he first caught the poker bug watching the EPT on TV three years ago, was overjoyed to land the sweepstakes prize offered by PokerTracker.

PokerTracker 4 is the official poker tracking software for the EPT Season 10. Anyone who downloaded the free 30-day trial of PokerTracker 4 was eligible to be included in the draw. Lichii uses PokerTracker 4 while playing on PokerStars under the screen name ‘Leackey92’.

“When I downloaded the demo version I saw the information about the Sanremo trip for some lucky guy, so I decided to register. I wasn’t expecting to win, since I’ve never won any kind of lottery, but when I saw the message I couldn’t believe my eyes and my dream actually came true.”

However, Lichii very nearly missed out on realising his poker dream of playing on the tour when, unbeknownst to him, the message confirming his prize went to his junk mail spam folder. With no response from the Moldovan to prove his eligibility within the 72-hour period set out in the sweepstake rules, PokerTracker was forced to randomly select an alternate winner.

Immediately afterwards, a crestfallen Lichii discovered his emailed “golden ticket” and informed PokerTracker. A nail-biting 72 hours ensued, but the selected alternate coincidentally also failed to respond to the confirmation email within the required eligibility confirmation time period. This miraculous change of events means that Lichii will be awarded the EPT grand prize package!

“It was a sweat to the finish,” explains PokerTracker’s Steven McLoughlin, said: “We couldn’t be happier for him and we hope he thoroughly enjoys Sanremo and wins the EPT Sanremo Main Event.”

£1600 London EPT Seat Sells for $2.53 in Bidibot Penny Auction

Last week saw lucky Bidibot.com user ‘ChipsFool’ win a seat at the London EPT side event for the amazing price of $2.53. The thrifty online poker player took advantage of one of many daily online auctions for poker and casino credits at the new “eBay of online poker” that’s saving bargain-savvy online poker and casino players more money every day.

The EPT side event, worth a whopping £1600, was held at Londons Hilton Metropole hotel on Saturday 2nd October 2010.
