I Plan to Win My Way to the Caribbean -- TKPT Satellites Now On

I enjoy playing poker online but I've never played in a live tournament. Maybe this is my chance! This month Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes are hosting another series of online satellite tournaments that will award a $2700 prize package and send the winner to a live poker tournament in the Caribbean. TKPT St Maarten online satellite tournaments have just begun and will continue until August 22. The winner of the Final on August 23 (me?!) will play in the $100,000 Guaranteed TKPT Main Event on November 25th.

“The winner of this series will be joined by the winner of TKPT satellites we ran last month,” said Intertops Poker’s manager.

“There’ll be a bunch of us in St Maarten – it’s going to be a good time!” added Juicy Stakes’ poker manager.

The winner of an online satellite series last spring won a trip to the CPT St Maarten in May but didn’t do as well at the live tournament as he’d done online. “I played OK, just not my day. On the bright side, I had a fantastic time in St. Maarten before and after the tournament!” he wrote in the Living the Dream poker blog where online tournament winners share their live tournament experiences.

Another Online Tournament Winner Sets Sail for the Caribbean Courtesy Intertops and Juicy Stakes

It's not long since the winner of online satellite at Intertops Poker / Juicy Stakes poker was off to the Caribbean Poker Tour in St Maarten.  Since then they sent a player to compete in the Borgata $1 Million GTD Championship. Now another online player will compete in a live tournament aboard on the Caribbean Poker Cruise to St Thomas and The Bahamas after Christmas.

First and second step online satellite tournaments have just begun and continue until this Saturday, December 6. The Final, where the $5000 prize package will be awarded, is on Sunday.

The last online player that Intertops/Juicy Stakes sent to a live tournament was eliminated after Day 2 but glad for the experience.



“It was absolutely fantastic to play in a tournament that the average grinder would not be able to afford to play in,” said Bruce B, an online tournament winner who won a $4200 prize package to play in the Borgata $1 Million Guaranteed Championship Event. “Having the chance to play in a field of that caliber with the chance to win a life-changing amount of money was incredible.”

“With the large amount of chips and long blind levels my strategy for day one was to chip up slowly, not risk chips. Day two we came back blinds were 1000 2000. Go card dead for an hour then at 2000 4000 I go all in with QQ get called by AK and hold for a double up. About a half hour later I get AA on the button. Get 2 limpers and I make re-raise to 16000 with 72000 behind. Large blind goes all in for 70,000. Limpers fold I call. He shows 88. Wait for it........yes an 8 on the river. AAArrrrgggghhhhh. (and I thought people only two outed you online) I went out somewhere around 100.”

The winner of Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes Poker’s Caribbean Poker Cruise satellite tournaments will receive a $5000 prize package that includes 7 nights for two people in an ocean view stateroom aboard the Oasis of the Seas sailing from Florida to St. Thomas, St. Maarten and The Bahamas plus one $1100 buy-in to the Card Player Poker Tour Main Event January 12th and some expense money. Step 1 satellites ($3+$0.30) award 6 tickets for Step 2 and are being held daily November 28th – December 6th at  2pm, 4pm and 6pm EST. Step 2 satellitews ($10+$1) award 3 tickets for the Final and are being held at 8pm EST every day until December 6th. The Final ($100+$10) is on Sunday, December 7th at 6pm EST
